Powers Lake under swimming advisory

Powers Lake has been placed under a swimming advisory after testing there showed elevated E.coli levels. A water sample taken Monday showed 345 E.coli/100 mL, said Randall Supervisor Mark Halvey. Signs announcing the advisory will be posted. Levels above 235 E.coli/100 mL prompt a swimming caution. A beach is closed to swimming when test results exceed 1,000 E.coli/100ml. […]
