Temperatures in the low 90s and heat values even higher will have it feeling like mid summer on the first two days of September.
In the latest, local National Weather Service forecast, Tuesday’s high is expected to reach 90 with a heat index value as high as 99. Wednesday is much the same, with a high temp of 91 and heat index as high as 97. There’s also a small chance of rain both days.
Thursday and Friday’s high temperatures are expected to reach 87 and Friday 85. The real cool-off won’t start until Sunday when the high temp will reach 82. Labor Day on Monday will reach just 78.
Thursday and Friday also have a 50 percent chance of rain.
