Kenosha County COVID-19 update Aug. 28, 2020: 2,929 positives

The Wisconsin Division of Health Services is reporting 2,929 total positive COVID-19 test results in Kenosha County as of Friday. That’s 9 more than Thursday. There have been 62 COVID-19 deaths in Kenosha County. The Wisconsin Division of Health Services is reporting 32,555 negative test results, a positive rate of 1740/100,000 people and a 2 percent case fatality rate in Kenosha County as of Tuesday.

Kenosha County Division of Health is reporting the following total positive COVID-19 test results for Western Kenosha County as of Monday (Note: The county has not reported new data for these numbers since Aug. 25 — DH ):

  • Bristol — 47 cases
  • Paddock Lake — 38 cases
  • Salem Lakes — 128 cases
  • Randall — 29 cases
  • Twin Lakes — 50 cases
  • Wheatland — 38 cases
  • Paris — 10 cases
  • Brighton — 6 cases

All other county cases reported above are from Kenosha, Somers and Pleasant Prairie.

Wisconsin DHS is reporting 73,981 positive tests and 1,156,807 negative tests with 1,113 deaths statewide as of Friday.

In Lake County, Ill., where many people from Kenosha County work, there are 14,394 positives as of Friday, the Lake County Health Department reports.
