Fox River crests; flood warning remains in effect

The Fox River appears to have crested Tuesday morning at 12.97 feet as measured at the New Munster gauge.

The river crested early Tuesday morning. At 10 a.m., it was measuring at 12.95 feet.

A National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.

The current NWS forecast for the river calls for a slows retreat, with the river falling under flood stage of 11 feet early in the morning Tuesday.

The latest, local NWS weather forecast doesn’t call for a chance of rain until this weekend.
