Flood warning issued for Fox River

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the the Fox River in Western Kenosha County.

Steady rain over the last 24 hours has caused the river as measured at the New Munster gauge to rise from 7.87 feet at 10:30 p.m., Tuesday to 10.38 feet at 10 p.m., Wednesday. Flood stage is 11 feet.

The current river forecast calls for the Fox to crest at 12.1 feet Friday morning.

Rain is expected continue Wednesday night and likely into Thursday, says the latest, local NWS forecast.
