At about 1:25 p.m., Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue units are responding for an alarm in the 6000 block of 248th Court in Paddock Lake.
Per dispatch: This is a smoke alarm activation.
UPDATE 1:30 p.m. — Fire unit arriving on scene reports no signs of fire from exterior.
UPDATE 1:31 p.m. — Incident command reports this is a malfunctioning alarm. All units still responding are to return to quarters.
