2019 Twin Lakes Tree Lighting coverage (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

Twin Lakes kicked off the holiday season with the annual Christmas tree lighting in Central Park Friday evening.

The event, organized by the Twin Lakes Area Chamber & Business Association, drew a crowd that filled the park at its peak. Local Boy Scouts sold treats and hot chocolate and there was a model train display that incorporated the theme of a Charlie Brown Christmas.

Choir and band students from Wilmot Union High School, Lakewood School, Riverview School, Trevor-Wilmot School and Wheatland Center School performed seasonal music in the lead up to the tree lighting.

Santa arrived on a Twin Lakes Fire Department truck. This year, Santa and village President Howard Skinner had a new way to light the tree — a remote control. Here’s the video:
