Wilmot UHS bands to perform A Musical Gift concert Dec. 11

The Wilmot High School bands will perform “A Musical Gift” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11th in the Lance Haas Auditorium for the Performing Arts at 11112 308th Avenue, Wilmot, Wisconsin.

The Wind Ensemble will perform “Amparito Roca” by Jaime Texidor, “Entry March of the Boyars” by Johan Halvorsen, and “Among The Clouds” by Brian Bamages

The concert band will perform “Appalachian Morning” by Robert Sheldon and “Nostalgia” by Rossano Galante and the percussion ensemble will perform “Quest for Santa” by Lorianne Kenney.

The concert is rounded out by the jazz ensemble performing “Jive at Five” by Count Basie, “Four” by Miles Davis, “Cantaloupe Island” by Herbie Hancock, and “Sway” by Pablo Ruiz featuring vocalist Emma Perrine.

As a finale, all students will join together on stage to perform Alfred Reed’s 1944 masterpiece, “Russian Christmas Music.”
