Paddock Lake passes 2020 tax levy with 1.57% increase

The Paddock Lake Village Board has passed a tax levy for 2020 of $1,499,258.

That represents an increase of 1.57 percent over 2019.

The village’s total assessed valuation for the 2020 levy was $244,780,000, essentially the same as for the 2019 levy. The tax rate for 2020 is 6.12/$1,000 of assessed value, an increase of 9 cents/$1,000 or 1.4 percent from the 2019 rate, according to figures supplied by the village. (Note: This has been corrected from an earlier version — DH)

The levy and accompanying 2020 budgets passed by unanimous vote on Nov. 20 at a regular meeting of the board, with Trustees Robert Spencer, Gary Kaddatz and Kathy Christenson absent.

Here is a summary of the 2020 budget.
