We’re in for some wet and windy weather, says the latest local National Weather Service forecast.

The wind is expected to build to the point that the NWS has issued a wind advisory for Wednesday.

Rain could start as early as 2 p.m., Tuesday and is pretty much expected to be falling by 5 p.m. Rain is expected to continue through early Wednesday and then trail off in the early afternoon.

As far as wind, Tuesday should start out calm, but wind speeds will start to building in the afternoon. By the time the wind advisory period begins at 8 a.m., Wednesday, we could be seeing winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts as high as 55 mph.

Wind should begin to calm down Wednesday evening, with the wind advisory set to expire at 6 p.m.

Thanksgiving should see a high of 37, with mostly cloudy conditions and calm winds.
