Westosha Central High School presented the Gerald Sorensen Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to 2019 graduate Heidi Dittmer.
Gerald Sorensen was a part of Central’s faculty for over 35 years. He began his career as a teacher, moving up through various levels of administration, retiring as District Administrator in 1999. He was involved in coaching and many extra-curricular activities including Kiwanis, Key Club, and D.A.R.E.
This scholarship is awarded by the Sorensen family to a student who is well rounded in academics, athletics, and community service.
