Units responding to crash in Wheatland

At about 10:16 a.m., Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Twin Lakes Rescue units are responding to a report of crash in the 7600 block of Fox River Road (Highway W) in Wheatland.

Per dispatch: Single vehicle involved. Vehicle is in the Fox River. This is in the area where the highway has been closed due to erosion.

UPDATE about 10:17 a.m. — Dispatch says person is out of the vehicle, but holding on to a mirror of the vehicle. Wheatland constable also on the scene.

UPDATE 10:22 a.m. — Twin Lakes Fire Department requested to respond with a boat.

UPDATE 10:23 a.m. — County Dive Team also requested to respond.

UPDATE 10:26 a.m. — Deputy on scene reports that person in river has been connected to a buoy and is being pulled out.

UPDATE 10:27 a.m. — Personnel at the scene reports to dispatch that person being rescued is out of the river and walking up the river bank.

UPDATE 10:31 a.m. — Dive team response canceled.

UPDATE 10:40 a.m. — Tow truck responding to retrieve vehicle from the river.
