Snow update Halloween 2019: 3 more inches

The snow did significantly lighten up just before 3 p.m., like the National Weather Service forecast said it should. That left some time for measuring snow and clearing the driveway, walk and porch for trick or treaters.

Measuring snow was tricky. The wind had caused some drifting and readings varied widely around the grounds of westofthei.com headquarters in Paddock Lake. I would say we got another solid three inches since 7:30 a.m. for a total of 4.5 inches for this event.

Removing snow was not difficult. The snow is wet, but very pushable. Our shoveled surfaces seem to be staying clean.

The NWS did let the winter weather advisory expire at 3 p.m., as scheduled. Some light snow might continue through about 6 p.m. The temperature at Kenosha Airport was 33 at 3:58 p.m. Bundle up out there!
