Snow forecast for Halloween; winter weather advisory issued

The National Weather Service says we may have a white holiday — it’s just not the holiday you usually expect.

The latest, local NWS forecast says Western Kenosha County could receive 1 inch of snow overnight Wednesday and another 1 to 3 inches of snow Thursday.

Have you been dreaming of a white Halloween?

The snow is expected to start falling at about midnight, or maybe a little earlier, and continue through 2-3 p.m.

The NWS has issued a winter weather advisory set to be in effect from 10 p.m., Wednesday to 3 p.m., Thursday.

The forecast prompted Bristol to change its official trick or treat hours, but most other municipalities that set hours on Thursday have not changed. Trick or treating details here.
