Roadside erosion closes Highway W

If Highway W is part of your regular route, you may have to start thinking of a new path while the county makes some impromptu repairs.

From a county news release issued Tuesday:

Kenosha County would like to inform drivers that County Trunk Highway W (Fox River Road) is now closed in the 7700 block in the Town of Wheatland, due to the continued high water level of the Fox River causing roadside erosion. A posted detour is in place using County Trunk Highways F and JI. This closure will be in effect until proper erosion control measure are put in place and the roadway is deemed safe for travel.
