Fox River under 12 feet; flood warning still in effect

The Fox River, as measured at the New Munster gauge, has slipped below 12 feet, but it drop may flatten some by recent rain.

As of 5 p.m., Friday, the river was at 11.7 feet. Flood stage is 11.57 feet. A National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.

With some more rain, the river’s drop is forecast to flatten out some over the next couple of days. The current river forecast does not see the river dropping below flood stage until Wednesday morning.
