Fox River slips under 13 feet; flood warning remains in effect

The Fox River has slipped under 13 feet on its slow retreat.

At 5 a.m., the river was measuring at 12.94 feet at the New Munster gauge. A National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.

The current NWS forecast calls for the river to take its time receding below flood stage of 11 feet. It is not forecast to dip below flood stage until Friday morning.
