The Fox River as measured at the New Munster gauge remains about a foot over flood stage Tuesday, though it continues to recede.
A National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.
As of 6 p.m., Tuesday the river was at 12.17 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet.
The current forecast calls for the river to slip under flood stage Saturday morning.
