Fox River receding; flood warning remains in effect

The Fox River is receding after cresting Saturday night.

A National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.

The river crested with a reading of 13.15 feet at 9:30 p.m., Saturday at the New Munster gauge. At 6 p.m., Sunday, the Fox was at 12.96 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet.

The current forecast for the Fox calls for the river to be below flood stage again Thursday evening.
