Cause of attic fire in Bristol under investigation

From Bristol Fire and Rescue:

On Tuesday, August 13th, 2019, at approximately 11:24 AM, Bristol Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched with Automatic Aid companies for a report of smoke in the attic at a residence in the 14100 Block of 60th Street in Bristol – a second call for service while Bristol Fire & Rescue crews were operating at an ongoing EMS incident in the 18400 Block of 120th Street dispatched 13 minutes prior. Pleasant Prairie Engine 5612 was the first-arriving suppression unit with a report of nothing showing from the exterior of the structure. Pleasant Prairie Chief 5600 arrived just after 5612 and established incident command. Engine 5612’s crew made entry into the attic area and confirmed the presence of smoke; a small fire was located and promptly extinguished. An extensive overhaul of the attic space and adjacent areas was conducted by responding crews and the Kenosha County Fire Investigation Task Force was requested to the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation with the Fire Investigation Task Force and Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department and is not considered to be suspicious in nature. Automatic Aid companies assisting at the scene included Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue, Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue, and Town of Paris Fire & Rescue. All working companies were supported on-scene by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.
