DeWitt Park beach on Silver Lake and Paddock Hooker Lakes Association beach on Paddock Lake are closed to swimming after resampling Tuesday showed elevated E.coli levels there.
The State Department of Health recommends posting warnings at beaches when test results indicate an E.coli level of 235/100mL or more and closing a beach when test results exceed E.coli 1000/100mL.
The results from Tuesday that caused the closures were:
- DeWitt Park Beach — 2,419 E.coli/100 mL.
- PHLA more than 2,419 E.coli/100 mL.
Both of the above locations are set to be resampled by the Kenosha County Division of Health.
