Sheriff’s Dept. investigating hit and run crash with multiple injuries

A hit and run crash early Saturday in Salem Lakes that left six people with injuries is under investigation.

From a Sheriff’s Department news release:

On Saturday, 08/10/19, at approximately 3:00AM the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department along with the Village of Salem Lakes Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision in the 12100 block of 259th Ave in the Village of Salem Lakes. The head-on collision involved a northbound Infiniti and a southbound Kia. A total of six patients were transported from the scene to area hospitals with two of the patients ultimately being taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of WI Milwaukee, WI. Based on the number of patients, additional ambulances were requested to the scene from Antioch, Bristol, and Twin Lakes. The driver of the Infiniti fled the scene prior to the arrival of first responders. All of the occupants of the two vehicles have been identified. Their identities are not being released at this time. Deputies and Detectives continue to work on the investigation.
