County Meals on Wheels seeks volunteer drivers for Twin Lakes, Silver Lake

The County Meals on Wheels program, which provides home-delivered meals to those who are homebound and unable to prepare their own meals, is in urgent need of meal delivery drivers on Mondays for Twin Lakes and Silver Lake, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Interested applicants must complete a KAFASI Volunteer Enrollment Form and pass both a background and a national sex offender background check.  Volunteer must have a driver’s license and own or have access to a vehicle for meal deliveries.  Volunteer needs to be able to physically manage the delivery of meals, which involves lifting meal bags and some walking. Training and ongoing support are provided.

The Meals on Wheels is a program of  Kenosha Area Family & Aging Services, Inc. (KAFASI). Meals are picked up at the New Life Bible Church, 112 W. Main St, Twin Lakes.
