Air quality alert issued

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an air quality alert for an area of Wisconsin that includes Kenosha County.

The alert is set to be in effect until 11 p.m.

From the alert bulletin:

Due to southerly winds transporting air with high concentrations of ozone precursors, the air quality index is expected to reach the unhealthy level for people in sensitive groups including children, elderly people, individuals with respiratory and cardiac problems, or anyone engaged in strenuous outdoor activities for a prolonged period of time.
