July 25, 2019 lake test results: Paddock Hooker Lakes Association beach remains under swim caution; cautions lifted at Hoag Park and Old Settlers Park

A swim caution remains in effect at Paddock Hooker Lakes Association beach on Paddock Lake, but cautions have been lifted at Hoag Park and Old Settlers County Park also on Paddock Lake after retesting by the county Division of Health Wednesday.

The State Department of Health recommends posting warnings at beaches when test results indicate a E.coli level of 235/100mL or more and closing a beach when test results exceed E.coli 1000/100mL.

Results from retesting on Wednesday were:

  • PHLA: 770 E.coli/100 mL. This is higher than Tuesday’s result, but still under the threshold for a closure.
  • Old Settlers: 6 E.coli/100 mL.
  • Hoag: 38 E.coli/100 mL.

The caution is expected to remain in effect for the weekend, as the county is not planning to sample again until next week.
