July 24, 2019 lake test results: Hoag Park closed; Old Settlers Park and Paddock Hooker Lake Association beaches under swim caution

One beach on Paddock Lake is closed to swimming and two others there are under swim cautions after testing Tuesday showed elevated levels of E.coli.

The State Department of Health recommends posting warnings at beaches when test results indicate an E.coli level of 235/100mL or more and closing a beach when test results exceed E.coli 1000/100mL.

The result from Tuesday that prompted the closure was:

  • Hoag Park Beach on Paddock Lake: More than 2,419 E.coli/100 mL.

  • Old Settlers County Park Beach on Paddock Lake: 276 E.coli/100 mL.
