
The Aquanuts water ski team based in Twin Lakes performed at the State Tournament in Wisconsin Rapids this past weekend, taking home second place.
This was the Aquanuts best finish in any tournament since winning the National Championship back in 2015.
The Wisconsin State Tournament is the largest tournament in the country. ABC in Wausau referred to it as the Super Bowl of Water Skiing.
Standouts for the Aquanuts included Kailey Koehler who was named the Most Valuable Female at the tournament, Jarad Meyer the best trick skier and Meghan Martin, 19th in Swivel in her 1st State Tournament. In the Individual competition, Grace Gurda finished fourth and qualified for the National individual tournament to be held Aug. 9, in Indiana. The 27-girl Aquanut Ballet Line defended its 2018 State Title and prevailed for 2019.

Next, the Aquanuts will compete for a national championship on Aug. 10 in Warsaw, Indiana.
