The advisory is now set to be in effect from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday.

The original advisory was to begin Thursday and last later into Friday.

Says the NWS:

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors

Not much has really changed for Friday’s forecast. The high temperature is expected to reach 94 and heat index values could get as high as 110.
