Heat advisory issued for Thursday-Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for an area of Wisconsin that includes Kenosha County.

The advisory issue set to be in effect from 2 p.m., Thursday through 11 p.m., Friday.

The high temperature Thursday is expected to reach 93 with a heat index as high as 106 possible. Friday’s high is expected to reach 97 with heat index as high as 110 possible.

“A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected,” the NWS advisory explains. “The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.”
