The beach at Silver Lake County Park remains closed to swimming due to elevated E.coli there and a caution at Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach has been lifted after retesting Thursday.
The State Department of Health recommends posting warnings at beaches when the test results indicate a E.coli level of 300/100mL or more and closing a beach when test results exceed E.coli 1000/100mL.
Thursday’s results of retesting by the Kenosha County Division of Health were:
- Silver Lake County Park beach, over 2,419 E.coli/100 mL. The county will resample Friday.
- PHLA, 126 E.coli/100 mL.
