Power outages reported

At about 5:45 p.m., We Energies is reporting a large number of people in Western Kenosha County without power.

The outage, show as being centered in the Silver Lake area, is reported as affecting over 4,000 households. We are out of power at westofthei.com HQ in northwest Paddock Lake. As of 5:48 p.m., a crew has not been assigned and a cause not determined — though likely it was weather-related. An estimated time for restoration not determined yet.

UPDATE 6:10 p.m. — We Energies listing outages in Brighton, Paris, Paddock Lake, Bristol, Silver Lake and Salem.

UPDATE 6:25 p.m. — A crew has been assigned. Estimated restoration time is 8:30 p.m.

UPDATE 7:29 p.m. — Which local municipality has the most complete power outage right now? Paddock Lake. Per We Energies numbers, the utility serves 1,539 households there with 1,539 out of power.

UPDATE 7:33 p.m. — Salem Lakes Trustee Ted Kmiec reporting on Facebook trees and power lines down in Salem Oaks.

UPDATE 2:42 a.m. — We Energies estimating restoration time of 6 a.m. Showing 3,100 local households still without power, mostly in Paddock Lake and Salem. Some progress has been made in Paris, Brighton and Bristol where only a few households remain without power.

UPDATE 6:47 a.m. — We Energies re-assessing restoration time for 2,650 local households without power this morning. Some progress being made in Paddock Lake with 961 of 1,539 households still out of power. Less so in Salem, with 911 of 911 households out of power this morning.

UPDATE 7:49 a.m. — Latest by municipality information from We Energies shows 202 households out of 202 served with no power in Silver Lake.
