The Twin Lakes Village Board awarded a contract for the 2019 street paving project at a special board meeting Monday.
The contract went to low bidder Asphalt Contractors of Union Grove. The amount of the contract approved was no more than $427,036.
The project includes the following streets:
- Spyglass Court, East cul-du-sac.
- Bird Road, Oak Street to Wilmot Avenue (CTH Z).
- Sunset Road, Oak Street to Wilmot Avenue (CTH Z).
- Grandview Lane, Lakeshore Drive (CTH EM) cul-de-sac.
- Legion Drive, Tindalls Nest to Village limits.
- Pebble Beach Court, East and west cul-du-sac.
- Hunt Avenue, Sunset Court to Burlington Avenue (CTH 0).
- School Street, Park Avenue to Burlington Avenue (CTH 0).
An alternate bid was included in the approved amount for pulverizing, shaping, and repaving Legion Park. For that project, $40,000 will come from park funds while the remaining about $15,000 will come from general funds, like the rest of the paving project.
Village engineer Greg Droessler said the bids were lower than estimated.
