Fox River on the rise again; flood warning remains in effect

The Fox River is on the rise again.

The river, as measured at the New Munster Gauge, was at 11.89 feet as of 7 p.m., Sunday. Flood stage is 11 feet. That was an increase from 11.48 feet about 24 hours earlier.

A National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.

The river has been over flood stage since May 23.

The latest, local NWS forecast calls for a 30-40 percent chance of rain Tuesday, Tuesday night and Wednesday.
