Several lakes in Salem Lakes will remain on slow no wake status through the weekend, village President Diann Tesar announced Friday.
Village lakes under slow no wake are: Center Lake, Camp Lake, Voltz Lake, Lake Shangri-la, Hooker Lake, Cross Lake.
Levels in these lakes are decreasing, but were still over the high water mark, Tesar said.
Levels will be checked again on Monday.
UPDATE 3:25 p.m. — Silver Lake was added to slow no wake status after the initial announcement, interim village administrator Mike Murdock reports.
