K-9 search conducted at Wilmot UHS Thursday

A K-9 (dog) assisted search was conducted at Wilmot Union High School Thursday morning.

From a news release distributed by the high school via email and social media this morning:

Today, Thursday, May 23, 2019, Wilmot Union High School, in conjunction with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit and other area law enforcement agencies, conducted a K-9 assisted search of our parking lots, school lockers, and randomly selected classrooms. During this search, students did not come into contact with the dogs and were moved to another room if their classroom was randomly selected. These searches are conducted in an effort to keep students and staff safe and reinforce the message that drugs and alcohol are not tolerated at Wilmot Union High School.
