Bristol Strivers 4-H Club plants tree at Town Hall in honor of club founder Doris Magwitz

Members of the Bristol Strivers 4-H Club on Saturday planted a tree in honor of founder Doris Magwitz at the old Town Hall site in Firemen’s Park in Bristol.

Magwitz organized the Bristol Strivers 4-H Club in 1956. She died in September 2018.

Club members dug the hole for the autumn blaze maple, helped get the tree into the hole and filled the hole back up.

The club’s President Ryan Herda also made a bench in his shop class at Central High School (with help from classmates Ben Ernst and Hunter Dye) that was placed beneath the tree.
