Bristol Striver’s 4-H Club to stuff the bus for Honor Connor on April 13

The Bristol Striver’s 4-H Club will be at Target in Pleasant Prairie from 9 to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 13, stuffing the Jolly Green Giant school bus full of items for Honor Connor.

All the items collected will be stuffed into “busy bags” for kids who have extended stays at Children’s Hospital.  Some of the items that we are looking to collect are listed below:

• Hand Sanitizer
• Lotion
• Chap Sticks
• Toothbrush / Paste 
• Blankets 
• Neck Pillows
• Hats / Bandanas
• Socks
• Sports Bottles
• Cup with Lid and Straw
• Candy – Lemon Drops, Mints, Suckers

Honor Connor was created in memory of Connor Ladene, who was diagnosed with a Glioma Grade 3 malignant Brain Tumor in 2008 and died later that year at age 9. Assembling care kits given to children who are newly diagnosed with cancer or just starting chemo is a main mission of Honor Connor.
