Units responding for mutual aid to Kenosha for fire at greyhound track

At about 8:24 p.m., Western Kenosha County fire departments are responding for mutual aid to the Kenosha Fire Department for a fire at the former Dairyland Greyhound Park, 5500 block of 104th Avenue in Kenosha.

Requested to respond for a change of quarters are Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue with an ambulance and Bristol Fire and Rescue with a squad and a chief. Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue and Zion Fire Department are also responding for the change of quarters.

The building at the site had been being torn down.

UPDATE 5:45 a.m., Wednesday — Kenosha Fire Department officials say arson suspected in this fire, which substantially¬† damaged what was left of the main structure at the track. More from WGTD here.
