Fox River slips below 12 feet; flood warning remains in effect

The Fox River as measured at the New Munster Gauge has slipped below 12 feet and continues to recede.

At 10 a.m., the river was at 11.8 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet.

A NWS flood warning remains in effect.

The latest, local National Weather Service forecast calls for some dry days ahead, which should help. The only precipitation in the forecast through Sunday is a 40-50 percent chances of rain (or rain/snow) Sunday and Sunday night.
