Brighton School dedicates Kindness Rocks Garden

Brighton School students and staff on Thursday dedicated their new Kindness Rocks Garden.

Students recently took the opportunity to paint rocks for the garden.  Rocks were planted in the garden, which was unveiled Thursday.

Plans were for an all-school ceremony to be held outsdie at the garden but wet, cool weather kept the ceremony indoors. Students read poems and Deputy Raymond Rowe spoke on what true kindness is all about and most importantly, students showing love for their peers. Here is video of Rowe’s remarks:

Students are encouraged to take a rock, leave a rock or share a rock. The messages on the rocks cover a wide range of inspiring messages from “Be Yourself” to “Eat More Carrots.”
