Warm, wet, windy Thursday; wind advisory issued

Thursday should be warm and wet and windy, says the latest, local National Weather Service forecast.

In fact, the NWS has issued a wind advisory for our area to be in effect from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday. Winds may reach 15 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph during this period.

It will be warm, with a high of 63 expected this afternoon, before temps plunge back down into the mid 30s Thursday night. Friday’s high is expected to reach just 38.

And it will be wet. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then a slight chance of showers after 4 p.m.

With the cooler temps Friday, there’s a chance of rain and/or snow showers.
