Fox River tops flood stage; flood warning continues

The Fox River has topped flood stage of 11 feet as of Wednesday afternoon as measured at the New Munster Gauge.

At 7 p.m., the river was at 11.29 feet and projected to raise rapidly over the next few days. A crest of 15 feet is forecast by the National Weather Service for Saturday morning.

A crest of 15 feet would be the third highest on record at the New Munster Gauge.

A flood warning continues.
