A Baltimore, Maryland man is in custody regarding communication he allegedly had over the internet with a 14-year-old girl who lives in Twin Lakes.
A news release from the Twin Lakes Police Department issued Wednesday said the 21-year-old man was arrested after the execution of a search and arrest warrant in Baltimore. The arrest warrant was issued in Kenosha County after a criminal investigation led by the TLPD. That investigation found an online relationship between the 14-year-old girl from Twin Lakes and the Baltimore man.
“This relationship included the exchange of sexually explicit photographs and videos along with conversations related to the girl wanting to
harm her father,” the news release said.
The Baltimore man is currently in custody in Maryland awaiting extradition to Wisconsin to face criminal charges. He has no known ties to Twin Lakes, the release said.
Investigation in the case is ongoing.
TLPD Chief Adam Grosz expressed gratitude and praise for all the hard work and effort put into this investigation by members of the Twin Lakes
Police Department, Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation, and authorities in the Baltimore area.
“These types of investigations are always difficult and complex,” Grosz said. “Everyone, across multiple agencies worked together in an effort to identify and get this suspect in custody.”
