The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Kenosha County to be in effect from 6 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

A mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected during the advisory period. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch is possible.

With temperatures warming during the day Saturday, any remaining precipitation should eventually transition to rain, says the latest, local NWS forecast. The high temperature Saturday should be 39.

Rain should continue into Saturday night and maybe even Sunday morning. Snow Sunday morning is also possible.

Sunday should also see dropping temperatures. Sunday’s high should be in the mid 30s but the low at about 8.
