Snow/ice/sleet update: .5 of icy mix overnight; new winter weather advisory for Wednesday night

We measured about .5 inch of accumulated snow/ice/sleet at westofthei.com headquarters at about 5:15 a.m.

A winter weather advisory continues for Kenosha County until 6 a.m. Good news for commuters: The ice storm warning has been lifted in Lake County for Wednesday morning.

However, a new winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for 9 p.m., Wednesday to 6 a.m., Thursday. Another round of mixed precipitation is expected during this period.

A slight chance of freezing rain will persist through early Wednesday morning. Wednesday’s high temperature should reach 34.
