It has been a busy Wednesday for utility company crews in Western Kenosha County with power outages being repaired and popping up again throughout the area in the wake of Tuesday night’s ice/freezing rain snow.
As of 2:45 p.m., we are getting reports of power being out in the Silver Lake area, including at Riverview School. The We Energies outage map at 3:30 p.m., doesn’t show an outage centered in Silver Lake, but it does show two substantial outages between Silver Lake and Burlington, effecting a total of about 2,800 customers. I am not an expert, but it seems that outages shown in that area often seem to effect areas to the south in Western Kenosha County.
UPDATE 4:06 p.m. — Large nearby outages being reported as resolved. Silver Lake power reportedly restored.
