It feels odd out there early this morning. Cold at 1 degree (at 5:30 a.m.), but still somehow warm. I’m sure you will know what I mean.

We got that snow — and are still getting some — that the National Weather Service forecast for Friday night. We measured .5 inch on the ground at westofthei.com headquarters in Paddock Lake at about 5:30 a.m.

Snow showers may continue through the morning, Friday.

The National Weather Service latest, local forecast says air temperature should reach 18 Friday, but wind chill should remain in the -10 to zero range.

The warm-up is still in the forecast for Saturday through Monday. Highs are forecast at 36 on Saturday, 43 on Sunday and 50 on Monday. Those warmer temps may be spoiled somewhat by freezing rain and drizzle Saturday and rain Sunday and Monday.

Winter-like temperatures in the 20s and 30s are expected to return after that.
