Trevor home damaged by early morning fire

A home in Trevor was damaged by an early Thursday morning fire.

From a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department news release issued at about 10 a.m. Thursday morning:

Today, January 31, 2019, at approximately 2:14 AM Deputies and Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue responded to a home in the 28600 block of 109th Street for a structure fire.  Deputies arrived at the scene and found an active fire with a nearly fully engulfed residence. They were able to determine that the house was unoccupied. Fire personnel from the Town of Randall, Town of Wheatland, Village of Pleasant Prairie, Village of Somers, Village of Bristol, Kansasville Fire & Rescue, and Newport Township, IL responded to the scene. The fire caused substantial damage to the home. An estimate of the damage is not available at this time. The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and the investigation is ongoing.
