Winter storm watch issued

The National Weather Service has issue a winter storm watch for an area of Wisconsin that includes Kenosha County.

The watch is set to be in effect from 9 p.m. on Sunday to 6 p.m. on Monday.

The likelihood of more heavy snow is prompting the watch. The latest, local NWS forecast calls for 4 to 6 inches Sunday night and 1 to 2 inches of snow Monday. There may some light snow Saturday afternoon and evening as well, with less than a half inch of accumulation expected.

Meanwhile, back on Saturday morning, it’s colder than I remember it was supposed to be. The temperature at Kenosha Regional Airport is -16 at 6:53 a.m. A 7 mph wind means a wind chill of -32.
