Wind chill advisory issued

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for an area of Wisconsin that includes Kenosha County.

The advisory is set to be in effect from 6 p.m., Thursday to noon Friday.

During the advisory period, wind chills could be as low as -30.

Thursday’s high temperature of 20 should be reached by about 1 p.m., with temperatures dropping after that. The low air temperature Thursday night will be -9. Friday’s high temperature will be 0 and Friday night’s low -10.

Temperatures look to remain 10 or lower for the foreseeable future, with the exception of Monday, which may reach 20. Next Wednesday the high is forecast for -3.

There’s a 90 percent chance of snow Sunday night and Monday. No accumulation forecast is available yet.
